The main objective of the Business and Labour History Group is to promote historical research and teaching within the Faculty of Economics and Business. The group organises seminars and conferences on historical themes in the areas of accounting history, business history, economic history and labour history. It also runs research projects on a variety of themes. Since 1986 it has also been the home of the journal Labour History, which is part of the History Co-operative at the University of Illinois Press. The group receives funding from the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History (ASSLH).
